CNN: Oregon shooting: 6 guns on campus, 7 at shooter's home, ATF says

Roseburg, Oregon (CNN) - Douglas County, Oregon, Sheriff John Hanlin said in a news release Friday that gunman Christopher Sean Harper-Mercer was enrolled in the class where the fatal shootings occurred at Umpqua Community College.

Investigators found 13 firearms connected to the man who killed nine people at Oregon's Umpqua Community College, Celinez Nunez of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Friday.

Six weapons were found at the college, where the shooter died Thursday after a gun battle with police, she said at a news conference. Those weapons included five pistols and one rifle.

Police searched his residence and found seven firearms -- two pistols, four rifles and a shotgun, she said.
